Ahimsa (Ah HIM suh) is a sanskrit word that translates to "non-violence" or "non-harming" in thought and action. It's one of the five yamas, which are morals that yogis follow and it's a way to take yoga off the mat into daily life.

So... is this studio full of pretentious vegetarian/vegan/tree hugging/spider saving hippies? Maybe... but generally, that's not all it's about.

Ahimsa has many meanings. One is kindness in thought and deed. Kindness to everything, living or not. Couldn't we all use a little bit more of this, including to ourselves?

It is important to understand that harmful thoughts can be just as bad as harmful actions. Yoga helps with this!
Btw, like the logo? My lovely capoeira loving (hopefully he will do a workshop one weekend) friend Chris Hooker designed it. I LOVE IT!

LOVE and Ahimsa to everyone!
