Our lease began May 1 and we actually signed the lease that morning at 9am. We weren't worried because we have the best landlord ever - Tai Chi instructor, Paul Channic, who is probably the kindest man in the world. Who has a landlord who is a Tai Chi Instructor? It's really nice.
While my Dad and I were at the Tai Chi Center a couple of doors down my mom was at the "studio." We were only gone for about 10 minutes and we come back to find her with a paint scraper, scraping the paint from the two windows on the side of the door.
Since then we have worked tirelessly on the space. Reliable Decorating from Oak Park was kind enough to come in right away and spray the ceilings. Their name does not lie - they are reliable. They are also kind and they do an EXCELLENT job. Thank you, Eugene!
My high school friend, Tim Carr, handyman and college student, came in the install the flooring. He also did an amazing job and it was awesome to have him around. Thank you, Tim!
My Aunt Barbara came in one Saturday to help paint. And DID SHE help paint! She painted so fast, I was gone one minute and came back to find the whole place painted! Thank you, Barbara!
